Walk It Off is excited to announce that we are teaming up with Todd Keirstead to offer an adapted golfing demonstration! The golf demonstration will take place on Friday May 5th at the Bradford Highlands Golf Club. Todd will work with three groups of participants on the driving range; all ability levels welcome, for an hour each.

Funeral service is at Roadhouse and Rose on Main Street in Newmarket at 1:30 pm on Saturday followed by a Celebration of Life at the Holland Landing Community Centre from 3:00 pm to 6:00pm.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of Walk It Off’s loved members, Dave Dieno. On the morning of May 29th, Dave suffered a heart attack and tragically, did not survive.

Walk It Off Clients Participate in 2015 Parapan Am & Pan Am Activities
I think it’s fair to say that seeing athletes of all different abilities competing in many different sports caused a bit of “panamania” here at Walk It Off. From Canada placing second in overall medal count and our very own Anita Kaiser in the PanAm torch relay to Kevin Mills being asked to participate in the Parapan Am torch relay and complete a handcycling demonstration at McMaster University, it’s hard to not get excited about it!
‘Total Gym’ Equipment for Spinal Cord Injury Clients at WIO
The Total Gym (TG) offers many benefits to a Spinal Cord Injury client because it is adjustable to suit the individual’s physical abilities, needs and exercise goals no matter the level of paralysis. Completing exercises on the TG allows the client to perform movements they would not usually be able to complete, in a safe and controlled manner with the assistance of the SCI Recovery Trainer here at Walk it Off when needed.

Importance of Standing for Those with Spinal Cord Injuries (SCIs)
At Walk It Off, our entire program is out of the wheelchair. We incorporate not only standing in a session but other weight bearing activities with the body in various planes. The attraction to our facility is not just about the equipment we use for standing, but the one-on-one personal attention that our program calls for. We get EVERYONE up on his or her feet!
